Wherever you are headed — a new home, seeking a relationship, a decision that has been weighing on you — there is a road ahead. And the one thing most of us are never taught is that this road is not made outside of us. It is made within. For what is within is seen without. So if you want to know what waits for you on the road you seek to travel, look first at what you are carrying. This refers to what is hidden in hate and secured in sin within the subconscious. You see, the partner you seek might be covered in the stain of abuse and attack. Or the home might be out-of-your-reach, if you project unworthiness. So, truly forgive to become free, and as you extend the light of the right mind miracles will be made.
The road is made within
You are not powerless over what comes your way. The road ahead is not simply happening to you; it is a reflection of the thinking you carry into it. When that thinking is fearful, the way ahead looks bleak and unkind. When it has been cleaned and corrected, the very same road becomes smooth, secure and safe. This is the secret the ego works hard to keep from you: the cause is never out there on the road. It is within.
This is the road within that leads without.
The ego’s clever trick
Here is where many people turn back. As you begin to forgive within and move through the darkness you had hoped to conceal, you start to see that same guilt reflected in the world around you. And the ego is quick to comment: See — things are bleaker, you are going the wrong way. But this is precisely the moment to keep going. Keep mentally digging within, keep forgiving, and you reach the right mind — the place where the loving and kind Thoughts You share with God reside. From here you begin to extend light outward instead of projecting fear, and this mind of peace begins to quietly whisper what is ahead.
Clean the picture before you walk into the scene
God once gave me some sound advice: always clean the picture before you walk into the scene. If you were moving homes, you would truly forgive the home you are in and the one you are dreaming of. If you were going on a date, or sitting down to a meal, you would forgive that too, before you arrived. It is not always possible — but as much as you can, truly forgive where you are going, and you will find the road far more peaceful and far less punishing. Take it from dark to light, problem to peace, and fear to love.

How the map works
The Road Ahead Treasure Map works through FAITH — Forgiveness, Authenticity, Introspection, Trust and Honesty — and a set of thirty questions that surface the hidden hurt, layer by layer. You meet each one honestly, then answer it with your own ‘I forgive…’ statement, until the whole map becomes one continuous true prayer.
